Nourishing Vegetable Juice


This vegetable juice is simple and basic, but full of nutrition.  You absorb the nutrients very easily, because there is no fiber and it takes very little or no effort for your digestive system.

It's good to juice with organic vegetables to get the most out of each juice.  I know that organic produce is a bit more pricey, but it's definitely worth every penny.  Organic produce has more minerals and vitamins, and it doesn't have pesticides and GMOs (genetically modified organisms.) Buy organic and non-gmo products whenever possible.  Since it's hard to afford everything organic, fortunately, there's the dirty dozen list of conventional foods we should try to avoid.  Also, it's a good rule of thumb to trust foods with thicker skins like bananas, oranges, avocados, etc.

It's super easy to juice vegetables, but the problem with me is it's hard to find time to do it.  I only say that because you have to wash the vegetables and then wash the machine when your'e done juicing.  It's totally worth it though; I believe that your health is worth every second you put into it.  This vegetable juice can clean you from the inside out.  To learn more about the benefits of juicing, click here.

Once I did a cleanse where I only had juices and smoothies for two days.  I was going to extend the cleanse for another day, but felt like I needed to stop, so I did.  It was definitely something I needed to do, because I felt cleaner, happier, and more flexible.  I was like a rubber band; I could stretch way farther than I was capable of before--oh yea!





Nourishing vegetable juice

Ingredients    
  • 3 medium carrots or 2 large ones
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 2 large chard leaves
  • 1/2 lemon (optional)
  • 1/2 large cucumber
Directions:

In a juicer, juice all of the ingredients.

The Benefits of Dry skin Brushing




    Our skin is considered the largest organ of elimination and absorption.  Supposedly, we eliminate over one pound of wastes per day.  Our skin can get clogged with toxins and dead skin cells, so it's important to take care of our elimination organs to get all of the clutter within us-out.  The main elimination organs include: the skin, liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, and the lymph system. We accumulate toxins and wastes through the air we breathe, the environment we live in, and the food we eat-even if we eat a whole foods diet.  What we eat can dramatically affect us, whether we eat healthy or not.  We just don't live in a perfect world, but we can detox our bodies though something as simple as skin brushing.  It's inexpensive to buy a natural skin brush; you can buy them for ten dollars or less!

  • Skin brushing helps the elimination of cellulite in the body. Cellulite is composed of a toxic build up that causes wrinkling in the skin.  By skin brushing, it tightens the surface of your skin, thus, helping stop the segregation of toxic material.

  • It stimulates the nervous system.  By doing so, it activates the muscle fibers and can give you nice muscle tone.

  • Another advantage is it can help provide a healthy balance of oil and hormones in the skin.

  • Since skin brushing removes your dead skin cells, it can help decrease any unpleasant odor you may have.
